Most people, especially Africans, didn’t like Donald Trump because they said he was racist and misogynistic. They saw him as mean and unfriendly. In any case, there were many who disparaged this president’s behavior because he was so cold towards minorities.
The controversy surrounding Trump: racist or bearer of an ideology of economic recovery?

It’s true that Trump had many faults that we unfortunately can’t ignore, but was he really a racist? Some claimed that Trump wanted to push people into housing in their own country because he didn’t encourage panhandling. He invited foreign populations to pool their efforts to find ways of improving their way of life. That was his ideology. Admittedly, his ideas on stopping immigration and preserving national culture may seem exclusive. However, this can also be interpreted as a desire to promote the development of other countries too.
Saying he doesn’t want people of color in his country is frowned upon by everyone. But it’s not as if he only rejects blacks. It’s normal that when someone invades your space, you don’t like it. If that person started painting your house green without your consent, you’d tell them to stop. If this person is behaving in a way that’s not typical of your culture or lifestyle, you’d tell him or her to stop. It’s not a question of race, it’s a question of mutual respect and consideration for others.
Let’s take the example of a story that took place in Germany, where Africans were cooking dishes with a strong odor. The food had to ferment a little before being cooked, which gave it its particular taste and smell. However, some Germans didn’t like the smell and this created tensions in the neighborhoods.

The importance of respecting other people’s cultures
To say Donald Trump was racist is a bit simplistic. On the other hand, there is a lack of consideration for other cultures and customs. When you go to a foreign country, you have to respect their culture, customs and way of life. In India, for example, you make a respectful bow (Namaste) rather than greeting people informally. In Saudi Arabia, you don’t touch women with your hands. It’s all a question of mutual respect and adapting to the culture of the country you’re in.
Breaking the brain drain and building a prosperous future at home
The bottom line is that pride and self-improvement must be a priority. It’s important to develop Africa and put an end to the brain drain. Young African talent must stay and contribute to their country’s development. If you’ve studied abroad, the best thing to do would be to return home and put the knowledge you’ve acquired to work for your country. It is by applying this principle that this continent will evolve. It’s time to put an end to the begging mentality and pool our efforts instead. Also, when an environment is hostile to you, leaving would be the best thing to do. With a certain degree of pride and confidence, pack your bags.
What’s more, if the development problem stems from the incompetence and arrogance of the elites, let’s get together and overthrow them for a better state. Once again, the unity of Africans remains essential to achieve self-sufficiency.
