A hero for society
In a recent video, we witness a captivating situation involving a young boy performing extraordinary deeds. The video shows a swimming pool where a 10-year-old boy dives in to save his drowning mother. Despite his mother’s weight, he managed to hold her in position so that she could breathe, although he didn’t have enough strength to lift her out of the water. Fortunately, a dog comes along and barks, attracting the attention of the neighbors, including the lady’s father. Finally, the grandfather intervenes and pulls his daughter out of the water.
The importance of detaching from the virtual world and becoming more sociable
This is a very interesting and moving story. One wonders what the results would have been if the little boy had been busy playing video games in his room. Today’s children are often absorbed by tablets, iPads and other electronic gadgets, such as PlayStations. We can clearly see that this little boy understands what’s at stake, because he was present and attentive to his mother.
It reminds us of our childhood, when we played outside with our friends, climbed trees, played soccer and enjoyed life. Today, things have changed, as parents often seek to protect their children and prevent them from harming themselves. However, this can lead to physical and psychological health problems due to imprisonment in the technological world. These days, it’s hard to make simple connections with other people, because most of us shut ourselves away in a virtual world. It’s important to let children play, take risks and develop their courage. On the other hand, communication with children remains essential. From this child’s reaction, it’s clear that he’s had uplifting conversations with his mom on several occasions.

Rethinking parenting in a connected world
In another video, a 5-year-old girl saves her mother’s life in a car accident on a mountain. Her instinct was to get out of the car and attract the attention of passers-by for help. Thanks to her, her mother was saved and rescued by helicopter. This story also shows the importance of mature conversations and teachings that parents need to have with their children so that they know how to react in times of difficulty. It’s sad to see that in today’s society, these kinds of conversations with our children tend to disappear.
It’s essential to allow children to develop by playing, exploring and making their own mistakes, experimenting with things. This is how they learn best, by developing their abilities and understanding their limits. Unfortunately, these days, video games and electronic devices absorb our children’s attention, limiting their interactions with others and their ability to communicate in a healthy way.
The need to reconnect with authentic communication
It’s become rare to be able to have simple, positive conversations with strangers that don’t revolve around political, religious or sexual topics. Social networks have developed a whole army of narcissists, on the lookout for money, fame, followers… We need to rediscover this ability to communicate and connect with others, as we did in the past. It’s important to encourage our children to develop their social skills and learn from experience.
These stories of courageous children raise questions about the way we educate our children today. Should we allow them to play freely and make their own mistakes, while giving them appropriate instruction? Or should we simply accept the evolution of the world and adapt our educational methods to this new reality?
