Immigration restrictions in the UK: From 5 years to 8 years to be naturalized

The UK has just passed a disturbing new law that has shocked many people. Under the new law, it will now take up to 8 years to be naturalized in the UK, instead of the previous 5 years. This applies to all those who come legally to work, study or settle in the country.

A law that provoked mass reactions

The UK wants to limit immigration

This new law has provoked strong reactions. Internet users, outraged, clashed on the networks. Some accuse the British government of racism, as it is clear that the African continent is mainly targeted. Moving from 5 to 8 years to obtain naturalization is seen as a discriminatory decision.

In addition, another recent law has been passed preventing students’ family members from obtaining visas to join the UK. Previously, students could bring their parents, children or spouses, but this possibility has been abolished. This measure is justified by the fact that the government believes that people do not show sufficient integration when they come to the country. What’s more, they feel that foreigners take too long in their country.

Reaction to these laws has been mixed. Some people support the British government’s decisions, arguing that it is necessary to tighten immigration conditions and promote the integration of new arrivals. Others, however, criticize these measures as unfair and racist. First, the migrants were sent back to Rwanda for analysis of their files to see if they were eligible for the UK. Afterwards, they created the “Stop the both” operation to block all boats arriving illegally. Now this law is being imposed. This shows just how tired the English are of receiving migrants, and how much they want everyone to stay at home.

The importance of staying at home and developing your country

The issue of economic migration is also called into question, as many people leave their countries of origin due to a lack of economic opportunities. In this law, the focus is not on illegal immigrants, but on those who arrive legally in England. Faced with this, individuals need to give themselves the means to succeed wherever they are, and develop strategies to build a better life for themselves.

This new law raises questions about the UK’s immigration policies, sparking debates about discrimination and integration. It also encourages individuals to think about strategies for prospering in their home country, rather than seeking to emigrate. It calls for greater dignity and self-respect in the quest for a better life.
