Eritrea’s president denounces Western accusations and reveals hidden geopolitical stakes

The President of Eritrea is a personality little known to the general public. Eritrea is often associated with an authoritarian dictatorship and many problems. However, Eritreans live their lives in complete freedom, far from international unions and meetings. The President questions the condemnations levelled against his country and asserts that this is a war led by NATO and directed by Washington, and not a conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Revealing the political stakes of war and power games

Eritrea’s president reveals US intentions

According to the President, this war began 30 years ago, and he denounces attempts to impose sanctions and hinder his country’s development. He explains that declaring war on a country involves not just a formal declaration, but also actions and sanctions aimed at preventing its economic development, weakening its currency and hindering fair trade.

The President points out that when a country refuses to bow to international economic interests, it is often referred to as a dictator or autocrat. Then he is punished or condemned. One example is Libya under Gaddafi, where the country enjoyed relative stability and offered many advantages to its population, but was overthrown because of its refusal to submit to international demands. Although Libya is not a democratic state, it has not suffered. Indeed, Westerners don’t want to let people know that there’s another system that works apart from democracy.

Eritrea’s struggle to escape Western domination

Eritrea is no different. Having refused to adhere to the Western mentality, sanctions were imposed. It is also equated with other countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and Syria, which share the common feature of not hosting large international companies. In his view, these countries are often stigmatized and branded as dictatorships simply because they want to preserve their cultures and refuse to bow to dominant economic interests. Anyone who opens their mouth to defend their interests is unfortunately branded a dictator. It’s a paradox, because the real dictators are the Westerners themselves, who are trying to maintain their hegemony throughout the world.

Today, Eritrea wants to shape its history like that of China, which suffered in the past. But today, it’s one of the world’s most important powers, and one we can’t do without. It cannot be intimidated like Eritrea today, because it is armed. On the other hand, the reality is that we live in an unbalanced world where some countries dominate others.

Beware of misinformation!

However, we must beware of misinformation, as the story is often told according to the objectives and agenda of the narrators. Most of the information shared is full of lies. Given what is often stated internationally, the reality is quite different.

The President of Eritrea denounces the Western accusations made against his country and highlights the geopolitical stakes behind these condemnations. We are also urged to question dominant narratives and to inform ourselves critically.
